DESCRIPTION

The entire property can be rented as a single unit and is great for a group of friends, family reunions or occasions. The main modern house sleeps 2 adults and 3 children very comfortably. The stone cottage sleeps a couple and the farmhouse has two apartments which each sleep 4/5 people. In addition, there is a stone cottage studio which sleeps 2 in single beds.

2 outside dining tables accommodate 12 adults each and the main Boffi kitchen is wonderful for those who like to cook in company. Each apartment and the stone cottage have their own kitchens as well and can be self-contained if need be.

Day trips can take you to the beaches of Forte Dei Marmi or Cinque Terre where a boat rental or a walk can bring you to spectacular spots. For a bit of culture Parma, Lucca and Pisa are all within very easy reach of an just over an hour. Florence is further afield at 2 hours but also doable. Closer to home the village of Bagnone is 4 km away and has several restaurants, food shops and cafes, Filetto is a picturesque joy and Pontremoli is also nearby. Swimming and diving in the river is great fun in Bagnone (3K) as is the Monday mornings market for fresh produce. A daily cleaner can be arranged at extra cost.

The swimming pool 20m long (with a window to the deep end from the filter room which makes for great pictures), the garden has a swing and climbing frame as well as plenty of space to keep young explorers busy. The property itself is reached via a dirt road 1.8kms long and is extremely private. We have a huge garden, a vineyard, an olive grove and some fruit trees from which you are welcome to pick in season. Kids will delight in the garden, the swimming pool, the swings and tightrope. 2 areas of Wi-Fi in the main house reach some of the garden, all other sections of house have Ethernet data points. TV in the master bedroom (no tv service but great to plug in Netflix via HDMI/USB adaptor. hi fi and DVD/TV in the main house with lots of English language as well as Italian dvd movies.

25 mins walk into the medieval market town of Bagnone for local shops, river swimming, Trattorias, Pizzerias and fine dining alfresco or in classic settings, fresh fish van from Cinque Terre twice a week, house Aperitivos in the piazza, pole position for everyday life theatre intrigue- river swimming in Bagnone is at its best with an array of rock pools and hidden waterfalls up stream to discover… local village food & wine festivals are also in abundance – your local restaurant (40 mins on foot) is shadowed by the medieval Malgrate Castle (on-route of the “Via Francigena” an infamous Pilgrimage from Canterbury to Rome), here you can enjoy vino and delicacies in an authentic Tuscan picturesque hillside setting with the best of our local hosts – the 20 mins drive to motorway exits will connect you easily with the cultural cities of Florence (165K), Lucca (95K), Pisa (95K), (Genova 120), Parma(97K), Bologna(195K) and Milano(200K) – the great Tuscan-Ligurian coastal destinations are also an hours reach, direct trains to the Cinque Terre from our local train station (4K).
