DESCRIPTION

Consisting of 5 apartments and 1 double bedroom. Each apartment is independent from each other with its own kitchen and heating. Each bedroom of Palazzo del Duca has its own bathroom. The building is of recent renovation and has been carefully restored to its former glory. Bookings for individual apartments are considered when available.

the village provides a fantastic local family-run restaurant, pizzeria and farm shop, run by the Sheppard’s wife where you can by local wines, cheeses, eggs, honey and seasonal veg even Porcini mushrooms in the season are on offer! All local produce is cooked in the local restaurant, and from the forest to the plate many delicacies such as wild boar, dear and homemade wild herb filled pasta can be found on the menu. The village hosts a Festa della Patata on the first weekend in September where gnocchi, torte and other creative potato ideas are to behold. The local bar and restaurant are extremely family orientated and summer nights involve gangs of local and not so local kids of all ages playing in the field behind the open-air dining room and running around the circular dance floor in the garden with views of the mountain ridge in the distance. An inspirational environment for children whom can experience the freedom to play in the streets of a time past a joy to sit back watch during your Apperitivo in the bar of enjoying your evening meal al fresco….in true stile medeterraneo this goes on to the early hours of the morning. Day trips to the coast are a must, the infamous Tuscano and Ligure coastal destinations are both under an hours reach. A fantastic base for coastal day visits to the Cinque Terre or to the fashionable Golfo dei Poeti or even the exclusive Forte dei Marmi without paying the expensive prices of these tourist trafficked destinations, the village is a safe haven under many aspects. The motorway exists and train station(15K) connect easily with the cultural cities of Florence(165K), (Lucca 89K), Pisa (91K), (Genoa 117), Parma(120K), Bologna(210K) and Milan(222K).
